Everyone is talking about FALL but it's all about Spring to me. The summer of Love vibe is back and everything 70's is so sexy. With the ease of 70's rocker's muse pattern mixing, silky fabrics, rich colors, crazy shapes, and sparkles. Fashion reminds us that is it meant to be fun and enjoyable. With a world so chaotic, it's nice to take a breath and have fun with dressing.

On the hunt for a new spring suit and pretty smitten by Billabong's new surf capsule collection. The long sleeved one piece spring suits are my
favorite go to for comfort and durability, but these bikinis are really cool too. All the pieces can be mix and matched, and the muted retro stripes
mixed with palm print is rad! Their are various bottom coverage levels so you can choose how much coverage you would like. Other than being
super cute these pieces actually seem like they will stay on while doing any water activity. Billabong is also a little easier on the wallet, and who wouldn't want to save that extra cash for more bikinis. I will do another post to review some new bikinis and a new spring suit next month while I am in Puerto Rico!!!
Diane Von Furstenburg Spring 2015 Ready-to-Wear
I just finish reading DVF's new book "The Woman I Wanted To Be" and I highly recommend it. I loved learning more about this strong young girl who came to America with a bag full of comfortable, packable but still lady like dresses in hopes to support herself. In just a fraction of time she became a princess, well known designer and most of all an amazing role model. Diane has won tons of awards, one of which was a lifetime achievement award by the Council of Fashion Designers of America, whom also elected her as president in 2006 and she continues to hold this position today. DVF created the iconic wrap dress, relaunched it in the 90's, and then again recently for it's 40th birthday in 2014! The exhibition " Journey of a Dress" held last year honored the little dress that started it all, and Diane's amazing accomplishments to date.
Diane is a huge philanthropist and is a perfect role model women and girls today. DVF the woman and the brand to me is a woman who is strong, independent, glamorous, but down to earth, exudes sexy in the most tasteful manner, is a jet setter, has fun and spreads love, stands up for other woman, has dreams, works hard but takes time to live and in doing both lives life to the fullest. She is not afraid to be herself, follow her instincts, and take risk. DVF knows confidence is sexy and "fear is not an option"- Diane Von Furstenburg.
For her Spring Ready to Wear line, DVF explained getting on a plane solo for the first time in the 1950's and being in awe of the glamorous women she encountered. I personally am obsessed with gingham and love love all the lady like, flattering cuts in these wearable materials. DVF creates clothes for a woman who wants to be comfortable, ladylike, stylish and also a lot of fun. Her designs are timeless and she knows what woman wanted in the 70's through today. I love the how the dips of spring colors where added and the flow of the maxi dresses. Dreaming of wearing these to spring weddings.

Chia pudding is one of my favorite snacks to fill me up when I am craving something sweet. Chia seeds although small are among the most nutritious foods on the planet and low calorie. These little seeds are packed with fiber, protein, Omega-3 fatty acids and various micronutrients.

Photo I took in Spring for Hot Wax surf shop. I can't believe this picture was taken almost two years ago. I really miss this little beach house off of Bahama Drive on the North end of Wrightsville Beach. Rip Curl Bikini and Roxy hat.

WILDFOX RESORT 2015, ABIKNIADAY, THE CLUB,
The holidays are over and while it was an amazing time filled with wrapping, gifts, drinks, sparkle, family, collards, cookies, and more drinks, we can now fully focus on what really matters. Which is warm water, waves, coconuts, bikinis, sunscreen, bikini babes, and tan lines. This year we will be having a total makeover and tons of new post. This year we will have more shoots, because I really miss shooting. New videos, travel tips, interviews with lady surfers, humanitarians, skincare specialist, boutique owners, clothing lines, ocean saviors and more. We will have D.I.Y. tutorials and of course more bikinis.
What better way to start off the new year than with a bikini-clad bombshell (Don't worry there will be plenty of man candy and style interviews from men too). All of these photos are from one of my favorite magazines Galore Magazine. The mag is a total feast of super cool chicks and great spreads on hot models, girls who rock, women in fashion, advice, pop culture and more. Check out the interview with model and actress Kelly Rohr here.
